There’s no denying it- for the majority of us, our beds are our favourite spots on the bedroom. I know I for one like to spend as much time as possible in mine. And for that reason, we like to make it make it as cozy as possible. And with it being the New Year, what better excuse do we have for new bedding? So for today’s post I am sharing some of my favourite bedding with you all. I am also going to share some other bedroom accessories that I love, because if we’re going to change up our bedding, we have to make sure all our accessories match!

Duvet Sets

Bedding is definitely one of my favourite things to buy. After all, what is cozier than cuddling up under a brand new duvet, with a mug of tea and netflix? Exactly… nothing. I like to stick to a colour scheme of grey, pink and yellow for my bedroom. I find it to be such a relaxing colour scheme, and I find it really helps me to sleep, rather than brighter colour and busier patterns. There are a lot of places that offer lovely bedding. But I think the just arrived duvet cover range from Yorkshire Linen is a must have this season. My particular favourite has to be the Indra Blush Duvet Cover Set.

If you’re going to invest in a gorgeous new duvet set, then you need a throw or bedspread to go with it. These three that I’ve selected are all beautiful, and I think I need the Celeste Blush Throw for my room. And as well as being gorgeous, they are so helpful for being cozy when it’s too warm to get under your duvet!

Finally, no room is complete without a set of curtains. I live in a town, and on a rather busy road so I get a lot of lights flashing into my room during the night. As you can imagine, this can interrupt my sleep a lot, so blackout curtains are something I definitely need.

Are you planning on buying new bedding for the New Year?

Even just the thought of new bedding, new sheets is the happiest thought! I just got a new duvet for my birthday! (A higher tog since I’m always cold) and I have a couple of bed spreads that I switch between. Seeing my room is white and teal it can be hard to match with the interior and colour scheme but I must have a nosey and see if there is anything that catches my eye!

I love new bedding too! I have a grey and white theme in my room at home and at uni and then add in accent colours of duck egg, dusky pink or mixed metals. I love that first bedding set with the geometric shapes on! I actually think I have an addiction to buying bedding and blankets! You can never have too many of them though, right?

I tend to stick to white for my duvet cover, but am thinking about branching out into some other neutral tones for spring! Yorkshire bedding look like they have some fab options! ❤️

  • Oh my god, I love some of these bed sets in this post Lauren. I have white bedding on our bed at the moment and a patterned one in the spare bedroom but I reallllllly feel inspired to branch out after seeing this. I’m also after some new curtains for our bedroom to finish the room properly! Great post 🙂
