If any of you read my Why I’m trying to be more ethical with my fashion post, you will know that I am trying to make my wardrobe more classic and long term. And that includes my jewellery and accessory collection.
A few years back I was always buying jewellery. I loved going into Topshop and Primark and buying almost everything they had and as a result my jewellery collection grew to be quite massive. But I never wore half of it, and to be honest, half of it was tacky as hell.
These days I’m a lot more simple with my jewellery. Most days I stick with the ring I got when I was 13, a pair of hoops and a small necklace. As a result, I am on the lookout for simple pieces of jewellery that don’t break the bank. And I think I’ve found the perfect brand with local company Lines & Current.
Lines & Current is a brand that I have admired for a long time now so when I got in contact with the owner Rebekah last month about collabing and she agreed, I was so happy! All of the jewellery that Rebekah designs is simple, but absolutely beautiful. And it’s all very me.
The DREAMER Pendant is a gorgeous gold-plated coin, and has to be the most beautiful necklace I own. Anytime I’ve wore this I have received so many compliments. It’s a very simple and delicate necklace that makes for a great contrast with chunky and oversized jumpers. I love how Rebekah has mixed the gold coin with the silver chain as personally I am someone who is always mixing metals.
The HETTA headwear is so interesting because it is actually a multi-way piece. You can wear it as a headband, a hat, a beanie, a neckcoil… it’s so flexible and therefore the perfect item for those of us who want to try and keep their accessory collection small. Lines and Current actually have a great video on their site showing all of the ways you can wear the HETTA, which you can watch here.
If you are into minimalist, simple jewellery then I definitely recommend checking out Lines & Current! There are so many pieces I can’t wait to buy including the BAR earrings and the DREAMER open circle bracelet.
