On the 23rd August I was very kindly invited along to a The Body Shop event in Belfast. This was my first ‘in-store’ event and I was really excited for it! As I am somebody who is a huge fan of The Body Shop, but hasn’t actually shopped there in so long (I had to place myself on a ban) I could not wait to see what new lines they had.
When we first arrived we where greeted at the door by Jake and the other lovely staff members and then immediately shown to the prosecco. Now that’s my kind of event.
After we where given a little time to mingle and drink, Jake started to tell us all about the new or recently released products. One of these products was the Drops of Youth Liquid Peel. This product exfoliates and removes all dirt from your skin. Jake showed this on the back of a hand and seriously- this product is AMAZING. You could seriously see all of the dirt peeling away from the skin and the hand looked glowing afterwards.
Now the next product will be of interest to anybody who has tattoos. The Amazonian Saviour multi-purpose balm is designed to enhance the appearance of tattoos, nourishes dry skin and improves the appearance of skin marks. Jake demonstrated this on one of my fellow bloggers tattoos and it was really cool to see just how much it made it pop!
After the talk, we all got the chance to have the choice of a: skin consultation, hand and arm massage, or makeup consultation. I’ve been having really bad issues with my skin lately, so I decided to go for the skin consultation. Jake was really helpful with all of the skin products, and as a result I decided to buy the Drops of Youth Liquid Peel that he had previously talked about. I decided not to buy too much that night due to going to London a few days after, but I have a huge list of products I have to buy in the near future.
The staff where very sweet and gifted us all with the Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask. I had heard so many great things about this mask, and I was so excited to try it! I tried this at the weekend before heading away and honestly guys… I loved it! After using this my skin felt the best it had in weeks- it was so bright and glowing, and felt so clean. I’ll definitely be trying more of the masks out soon.
We where also gifted with a few samples of different products (including the liquid peel which I’ll be giving to my mum) and anyone who spent over £10 got a free gift. I got the coconut shower cream which is my favourite scent so I was extremely happy.
This was definitely an amazing night and I had so much fun! I loved that I was able to catch up with so many bloggers as well as getting to know bloggers I hadn’t met before. I’m really looking forward to trying out all of my new products so definitely keep an eye out for reviews! And I have to say a huge thanks to Jake and the rest of the staff- you where all so helpful and friendly! You definitely all know your stuff. If you are ever in Belfast make sure to pop in, and get their advice on products.
