On Sunday I was very kindly invited along to the second #NIBloggerBrunch. The brunch was organised by business woman and style queen Cathy Martin of CMPR and Belfast Fashion Week. The first brunch was held a few months back and from what I saw on snapchat it was such a fun event, so I was very excited when I was found out about the second brunch!
Held in one of Belfast’s newest and most visually stunning restaurants Gallery Belfast, the brunch promised to be a fun networking morning, with lots of food and opportunities to talk to fellow bloggers and marketing people, and it defintely didn’t disappoint!
I met up with the lovely Katie from The Burning Wick before hand, and the two of us headed in together. I have to say I always LOVE having someone to arrive with. It’s something I wish I could get over, but I always feel so much more nervous if I have to arrive by myself.
When we arrived we all get seated before Cathy introduced herself (not that she needed an introduction) and told us the purpose of the morning. She then gave us all a chance to get up and talk for one minute about our blog/business/purpose for being there. Getting to hear everybody talk was so inspiring and motivating. There was 60 of us there and every single one us was bringing something different to the blogging world so to hear the reasons behind everyones blogs or youtubes or social media presence was amazing. And even though I was nervous as hell, I pushed myself to get up and talk. I’m not going to go into what I touched on just yet though because I’ve actually decided to do a whole blog post on it.
In between hearing everyone talk we got served some extremely delicious food. I’ve been to Gallery before for lunch, but this was my first time trying them out for breakfast and they certainly didn’t disappoint. To start we were served fruit with yoghurt. The next course was a delicious bowl of porridge made with almond milk and topped with fruit, and served with Linwoods Seeds. Finally, we were served scrambled eggs with sourdough bread. All three of these courses where so good so if you are ever in need of a breakfast spot in Belfast, I highly recommend Gallery.
One of the best parts of the morning was definitely getting to meet so many new people and put names to faces. I’ve been following so many people on instagram for ages and it was great to get to meet them. When we arrived me and Katie sat at a random table and we soon got talking to the lovely (and extremely stylish) Michael and Ciara. It was great chatting about instagram, blogging and other random things with like-minded people. I got talking to so many people and I wish I could mention everyone but I would be sure to forget someone and I would hate to do that!
And ofcourse, what would a blogger event be without a photo opp? I think at least half of the attendees must have taken advantage of the gorgeous art above the staircase for outfit photos, myself included. And if you want proof as to much us bloggers can chat, we all had to get asked to leave in the end (nicely of course) because customers where arriving and we where all still taking up most of the floor space!
I feel like I’ve rambled on enough about the amazing morning. So I’ll just end by saying a huge thanks to Cathy and her team for organising the event. Also to Gallery and all the staff for accommodating us all, you were amazing. And finally, thanks to BPerfect for the tan, JN Wine for the prosecco, and Zen Braces for the voucher! I can’t wait for the next event!*POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS
