Some Changes I Need to Make

Some changes I Need to Make

I recently turned 25 which means I am officially a quarter of a century old. Crazy right? Some times I still think I’m 21. But turning 25 has meant I’ve been having to think a lot more about my life and where I am right now, and what changes I can make. So today I thought I would write about the changes I want to make in my life before I’m 30 (which is only 5 years away… scary).

Study Marketing

I’ve been thinking about going back to school to study marketing for a few years now and I’ve finally decided it has to happen. I’ve actually already applied to study a Foundation CIM course next year so fingers crossed I’ll get accepted. And if not, I’ll have to find another way to do it.

Get a new job

I’ve become very bored and frustrated in my current job lately, and I definitely need to sort something out. I’m not sure what kind of job I could go into atm, as apart from my blog I have pretty limited experience, but I definitely need to get into something.

Lead a healthier lifestyle

I think it’s definitely time to start leading a slightly healthier lifestyle. I’m pretty lucky in that I’m naturally pretty slim, but that means a lot of the time I forget about my diet and exercise. So for now I just want to start small: less takeaways, join a gym. I’m not going to go all out with clean eating and gymming it 5 times a week, but baby steps will do for now.

Move Out

Yep, I definitely have to move out before I’m 30. Ideally I’d like to be moved out by this time next year, but I’m not sure how realistic that is, especially if I’m planning on going back to school. But definitely this is top of my list. And hopefully I’ll be moving back to Belfast.

Do you have any changes you want to make in your life?

  • Lovely post, I think it’s great to set yourself small goals like these and then come back and reflect on them, definitely something I should do. I would like to look into a new job too, although I really enjoy my job, I’m not paid as I should be and I too would like to move out soon, getting a mortgage in Oxford is incredibly hard however!

    • It’s definitely great to be able to look back and reflect on them, helps us to further ourselves. Oh I’m sure it would be! Mortgages aren’t that difficult to get where I live, but unfortunately I just know I wouldn’t be in the position to get one for a few years.

  • This is a great post. it’s good to set yourself goals. When you achieve them it always feels good! Marketing is 50% of my job (the other 50% being Events) and marketing is so much fun but can be really tedious at times! Hope you fulfil your changes!

    • Oh that sounds like it would be a perfect job. Events would be so much fun though I’d probably be terrible at them ha. And thanks, hopefully I do πŸ™‚

  • Such a great post! Instead of New Years resaloutions, I like to set goals like this for the year, so even if I don’t 100% accomplish them, at least I know I’m on my way to them πŸ’–

    • Goals are so much better! Hopefully by this time next year I’ll have made some of these changes, and if not, I can keep working on them πŸ™‚

Ohhhh keeping my fingers crossed for the course.

I am also bored of my job & have been looking in to digital marketing, but as I don’t have a degree in or or any experience it’s proving quite hard.I feel your pain

    • Thanks Hayley, I just found another place that it does it so I’ve doubled my chances of getting to do it now ha. It’s so difficult to get into isn’t it, my blog has helped me to get a few interviews in it, but nothings went further than that.

  • Sian…

If you need a housemate, I want to be moved out when I get a full time job soon! I’m also a Marketing graduate so I still have a few textbooks lying around!
