'Talking As Fast As I Can' Lauren Graham

Hello everyone! I recently finished reading Lauren Grahams newest book, ‘Talking As Fast As I Can’ and since it’s been such a talked about book on the internet, I thought I would let you know what I thought about it.

For anybody who doesn’t know, Lauren Graham is probably best known for her role in Gilmore Girls. She played the wonderful and kooky Lorelai Gilmore, and recently reprised her role for the comeback. This books release actually coincided with the release of the new episodes.

I’m not normally a fan of autobiographies, but this was one of the best books I have read in ages. Lauren shares hilarious stories from throughout her life, and tells us the ups and downs of Hollywood. I really love how honest Lauren is in this book. I also love how it was written. It feels like you are actually having a conversation with her which is why I think I loved reading it so much.

The main reason I bought this book was to hear her opinions of the filming of Gilmore Girls. Gilmore Girls has been on of my favourite shows for the past few years and I was so excited for the comeback. Lauren has two chapters on GG: one on the original series, and one on the comeback. Both of these chapters where so fun to read. You can tell that Lauren, a long with the other stars, had so much fun filming it!

This book is definitely an ideal read for anybody who loves Lauren Graham, Gilmore Girls or Parenthood. It’s funny, well-written and extremely easy to read.

Have you read ‘Talking As Fast As You Can’? What did you think of it?

  • Sian…

I love reading autobiographies but mostly I read sports ones! I’ve never really seen Gilmore Girls so I think I’d like to watch it first before reading this book! Glad you’re reading more too!
