On the 31st January I has the opportunity to attend the Debenhams SS17 Press Event in Dublin. I’m not going to lie, when I got read the invite a few weeks ago I was so excited! I don’t tend to get invited to a lot of events, and the ones I am invited to, I can never attend, so this was a big deal for me! I think straight off I have to thank the PR Kelly for being so helpful and keeping us updated with all of the relevant information.
Debenhams very kindly provided a bus to and from the event for all of us in Northern Ireland. This meant that my day started off with a trip to Belfast, where I met so many wonderful bloggers! The lovely Tracey from Rushmere Debenhams met us at Central and accompanied us to Dublin. Once we got to Dublin we headed straight for Debenhams on Henry Street where we were treated to pastries and fruit pots before being given some time to shop.
We all then headed over to the main event which was held in the Pillar Room at Rotunda Hospital. Not going to lie… we all managed to get slightly lost on our way which led to many laughs amongst ourselves. However after stopping to ask directions a few times we managed to arrive at the event with plenty of time to spare. When we arrived we were treated to a gin and tonic. Anybody who knows me will know that I love gin, and the Gunpowder gin that we were treated to was amazing!
The Pillar Room was such a gorgeous setting for the event. There beautiful runway took centre stages, and there was plenty of room to walk around and mingle before and after the event. At the back of the room Balm Cosmetics had set up a booth where you could go and see some of their products and have one of the lovely girls try them out on you. We were also all treated to a lovely Eyeshadow Stick, so I can’t wait to try that out!
Before we knew it, the music was starting and all of our eyes were on the runway. There were five ‘scenes’ to showcase the new season: Athlesiure, Garden Party, Embroidery, Make a Splash and Say I Do. I think my two favourite were definitely Athlesiure and Say I Do but there were gorgeous looks in every scene! Below I have some pictures of my favourite looks. I love them all, but in particular I love the last three looks which where all from ‘Say I Do’.
After the event we all headed back to the bus which took us back to Belfast. I had such a wonderful day and I was so happy to get to meet so many wonderful girls, including the lovely Katy from Katy Belle. I’ve been talking to Katy on twitter for ages now so it was so nice to meet her in person! If you haven’t checked out her blog before, go do it now, it’s brilliant.
Thanks to Debenhams, and in particular Kelly and Tracey for all of their assistance and helpfulness! I can’t wait to see what they have planned for the future.*POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS
